Release Tracks
When creating a new Workspace there is now the option to have a Preview of new features that are developed but are still being tested. This new feature allows for two options:
- Standard - Standard release track gets features after they have been in the preview release for between 2-3 weeks.
- Preview - Preview release track gets features as soon as they are developed and deployed.
All active Workspaces are, by default, set to Standard. You can get more information about this feature here.
Why we made the change
We would like to expose some of our bleeding edge improvements with our customers and their users in an effortless way. We also hope to collect feedback on some of our newest features before rolling it out to everyone. This helps us build a better product and get our customers and users a chance to participate.
AWS S3 As Host System
Chain.io Host Systems allow you to set up a variety of configurations to be used as Source and Destination connections within your flows. This new addition allows users to add an AWS S3 bucket as a Host System to receive files when executing Flows.
Why we made the change
AWS S3 buckets are widely used for a scalable storage solution in digital workflows. Supporting the use of S3 within Chain.io allows our users to take advantage of using a single S3 bucket as the receiving system across all their Flows within your Workspace. This eliminates the need to configure the bucket in each flow and now provides the S3 bucket as an option for your Destination System/Connection.
