Several features in the Chain.io portal use AI to help you build flows, write mappings and processors, and understand what happened in a flow execution. This article explains which AI provider we use and which features send data to it.
Which AI provider does Chain.io use?
All AI features in the Chain.io portal use Anthropic's Claude models. Chain.io calls the Anthropic API directly from our own services.
Features that send customer data
AI Flow Builder helps you start a new flow from a description. You reach it from the Add New Flow button.
Mapping AI Assistant helps you write mapping expressions. You open it with the AI Assistant toggle in the mapping editor.
Processor AI Chat helps you write and explain custom processor scripts. You open it with the AI Chat button in the custom processor code editor.
Ask About This Execution explains why a flow execution failed and how to fix it. Users with the Editor or Owner role open it from the Flow Execution page.
Chain.io Diagnostics is the same kind of tool as Ask About This Execution, used only by Chain.io staff from the Flow Execution page when they help you troubleshoot.
